La Placita Salt Shop in Bonaire offers table salt, bath/beauty products and other specialty items from Bonaire’s famous salt plants. It’s an exclusive Bonaire product for which more than 20% of the island is used for the production.
The sea salt is a natural and pure product that is produced by evaporation of sea water in special ponds. The evaporation caused by the heat of the sun and wind frees the salt which then crystallises in the salt beds.
