The famous square Jemaa el Fna is the heart of the Medina. During the day it isn’t that busy, but there is still plenty to see of the daily hustle and bustle from one of the terraces surrounding the square. In the evening you will find the square packed with hundreds of food stalls. Without a doubt it’s a great idea to have dinner at the square at least once during your stay, and buying that meal at the food stall surrounded by the most amount of locals is always a wise choice.

Enjoy the harira and grilled veggies like eggplants, tomatoes, carrots, onions and olives. Be aware that there are men who would like to take pictures of you with their captured monkeys and snakes. I find it sad to see that animals are still treated like this and try to ignore the men.
