Owner Rolf Axel Nordström, a pioneer in organic farming, started Ängavallen fourty years ago. Nowadays Ängavallen is much more than just an organic farm. It’s also a restaurant, hotel, a deli, it can accommodate conferences and it does catering. Nordström is a passionate believer in organic production methods. Everything they produce themselves, like the meat, cheese and deli products, are organic. The same goes for products they don’t make or grow at the farm and have to buy.
The owners’ opinion about organic farming goes much further than the already strict rules. That’s why calves stay with their mothers and pigs can go outside year round, if they want.
As a pig you would love to be at organic farm Ängavallen. You can have a nice cooling mud bath, make your own nest, play with the piglets and go for a stroll outside whenever you feel like it.
Besides pigs, they also have cows and sheep.
