Shrimp fishermen in Oostduinkerke
During my last visit to the Flemish coast it was a good time to see the shrimp fishermen. They only fish when it’s low tide. So they have to plan their fishing dates and time. The fishermen use draft horses, mostly Brabantian or Ardennes breed. These peaceful and strong animals weigh about 1,000 kilograms and are perfect for the hard work of shrimp fishing. Read more »

Agroturismo Can Fuster in Ibiza
The family owned agriturismo Can Fuster is located in the north of Ibiza in Sant Joan de Labritja. Vicente, one of the owners, showed me around the property and the vegetable garden. Restaurant Aubergine in Ibiza
Restaurant Aubergine opened only a few weeks ago in Ibiza. The farm to table concept uses local and organic food, partly from their own vegetable garden. Can Curreu in Sant Carlos, Ibiza
The village of Sant Carlos is crowded when I arrive on Saturday. That’s because on Saturday the hippy market is at Las Dalias. You won’t notice anything of that once you enter the luxury boutique hotel Can Curreu.
