Situated in the former coach house of mansion Frankendael, Restaurant Merkelbach serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Located on a country estate that’s been turned into an ecological park, the restaurant is figuratively and literally one with nature. The kitchens philosophy aligns perfectly with that of the authentic stately surroundings, the flavours of the french-mediterranian menu have to be authentic and the stars of the show. The restaurant has a big patio facing the gardens, where you can enjoy seeing the sun set in a sea of green.
Restaurant Merkelbach is convinced that organically produced ingredients give the dishes the best flavour. That’s why they only use fresh, local produce that is in season. The authentic recipes and original presentation make sure that the pure ingredients shine.
Sustainable produce
almost everything is organic, meat, veg, soda’s, some wines, local produce as much as possible, fairtrade coffee, sustainably caught fish from the Wadden sea, nominated for ‘Purest Restaurant of the Netherlands 2012’.
